I would
like to extend a special thank you to Professor Verónica Pintos, who conducted
the class with exceptional warmth and dedication throughout the term. Always
with a cheerful smile, she guided us through meaningful reflections on the
topics we explored this semester. Her teaching style carried a distinct and
heartfelt touch of latinidad — she often reminded us that she
was there to be more than just a teacher, but also a friend.
This
spirit was evident not only in her teaching but also in her approach to
evaluation. Rather than simply correcting or pointing out errors, she offered
thoughtful, constructive feedback that inspired growth and deeper
understanding. The result was a truly supportive and empowering learning
environment.
This was
my first experience with the PILA Virtual programme and also my first time
attending a class at an Argentinian university — and I’m happy to say that I
absolutely loved it. Thank you very much, Professor Verónica. It was a
wonderful semester, and a true pleasure to meet you.
I also
extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Universidad Nacional de José C. Paz for
making this experience possible, and to its international office team for their
constant support, even before the semester began. I would also like to extend
my thanks to the PILA programme and my home university, Universidade Federal de
Pelotas, for providing me with the opportunity to participate in this enriching
journey.
Last but
certainly not least, I would like to thank two professors whom I am proud to
call friends — Isabella Mozzillo and Maristela Machado — who inspire me every
day to be an educator with wisdom, dedication, and a deep passion for what they
teach. Most of what I know about being a teacher, I learned from them, and for
that, I will always be thankful.
